Series 1: Intro to Circular Knitting
Wednesday, June 24 & July 1 • 6-8 PM
Ready to expand your knitting skills? This class series is perfect for knitters who know how to knit and purl and are ready to learn circular knitting.
You'll learn the Magic Loop method, a stretchy cast-on, and the fundamentals of working in the round. Along the way, you'll create a pair of heel-less spiral socks while building the confidence to tackle hats, sleeves, and other small-circumference projects.
This class is also excellent preparation for the Beginner Sock Knitting series, where you'll apply these techniques to knit a complete pair of socks.
Prerequisite: Students must know how to knit and purl.
Tuition: $62 for the entire series
Series 2: Beginner Sock Knitting
Wednesday, July 8, 15 & 22 • 6-8 PM
Ready to knit your first pair of socks? In this three-part class series, you'll learn how to knit cuff-down socks using the Magic Loop method.
We'll work through each step of sock construction together—from cuff and leg to heel, gusset, foot, and toe—while building confidence knitting small circumferences in the round. You'll also learn how to take accurate foot measurements to achieve a comfortable, well-fitting sock.
By the end of the series, you'll have completed one full sock and have all the skills needed to finish the second on your own.
Whether you've always wanted to knit socks or are looking to build on your circular knitting skills, this class will give you the knowledge and confidence to keep making socks long after the series ends.
Prerequisite: Students must already be comfortable with the following techniques—Old Norwegian/Twisted German cast on, knit, purl, and working in the round.
* For the best experience, I strongly recommend completing the Intro to Circular Knitting class (offered June 24 & July 1) prior to this series.
Tuition: $93 for the entire series
